Chris of "Joe's Table for Two" recently visited the legendary Charlie's Bar in Somers Point. Known for their wings, Charlies is one of the popular hot spots for locals and tourists to visit, especially in the summer, to take up their legendary wings, or to stop in for a drink or watch the game. Featuring daily food and drink specials, Charlie's is a great place to eat.
Usually, we get the mild wings, but on this trip, we decided to change things up. This time, we ordered the Wing and tender combo with the Southwest BBQ sauce. The sauce was very sweet and smoky and made me slap myself for not trying it before. Charlie's has some great sauces, but beware of the top gun sauce as it is extremely hot, no joke.
The staff has always been friendly and courteous when we visit and is one of the reasons we come back frequently. It is great food for an affordable price.
